A residence that lets the craft do the talking

This Golf Course Road residence was commissioned by a family who had seen enough loud luxury and wanted the opposite — a home where the material itself carries the room, rather than ornament layered on top of it. The palette stays close to earth and stone throughout: bookmatched marble, dark timber panelling and brushed brass find their volume not through colour but through the quality of what they are.

Every principal space was planned around a single sightline back to the golf course beyond, so the formal living and dining rooms read as an extension of the landscape rather than a room that happens to have a view of it. Upstairs, the primary suite continues the same discipline — a private gallery, a dressing room finished to hotel-suite standard, and a bathroom in book-matched stone that took the ateliers longer to source than to install.
