How is this different from decoration?
Decoration arranges what exists. Design at this level decides what exists — the ceiling geometry, the stone, the joinery, the light — and then dresses it. One is a layer; the other is the home itself.
Do you have a signature style?
A signature standard, not a signature look. Some clients want contemporary serenity, others classical grandeur, others something the world hasn’t seen. The discipline — proportion, materiality, coherence — is constant; the expression is yours.
Who will actually work on our home?
Blaine directs every commission personally, supported by the studio’s senior designers. The person who presents your concept is the person responsible for your finished home.
How many projects do you run at once?
Few — deliberately. Bespoke design cannot be mass-produced, and we would rather decline a commission than dilute one.
